Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy

NexlLearning (operated by NEXL LEARNING LTD) is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, especially children and young people. This policy applies to all staff, STEM tutors, mentors, and contractors working on behalf of NexlLearning, covering all online STEM classes, coding labs, mathematics coaching sessions, and digital interactions conducted through our platform.

We take child protection with utmost seriousness. All STEM tutors undergo thorough background screening and character verification before being onboarded, and must agree to our strict Code of Conduct prohibiting any inappropriate communication or behaviour. Classes are conducted through our monitored student platform, and sessions may be recorded for quality assurance and student safeguarding purposes.

• All tutors undergo identity verification and academic qualification checks before engagement.
• Tutors must sign and adhere strictly to our comprehensive Tutor Code of Conduct.
• Tutors must NEVER communicate with students outside of the official NexlLearning student platform or without parental knowledge.
• Inappropriate language, unauthorized messaging, imagery, or requests of any kind will result in immediate contract termination and referral to relevant authorities.
• Tutors are mandated to report any safeguarding concern to the NexlLearning administration immediately.

• We strongly encourage parents and guardians to be present or nearby during live classes, especially for younger learners.
• Parents may request to review session recordings, lesson reports, and tutor feedback at any time.
• All student records and attendance dashboards are accessible to the verified parent or guardian who enrolled the student.
• Open communication channels are maintained between parents and our academic advisory desk.

• All live lessons are conducted via our monitored, secure virtual classroom portal.
• Session recordings are stored securely in encrypted cloud environments, accessible solely to the student, parent, and authorized administration.
• Screen sharing is strictly limited to STEM educational materials, coding editors, whiteboards, and lesson presentations.
• Students are advised never to disclose personal identifiers (home address, personal social media, passwords) during class.
• Webcams should always be situated in an appropriate, well-lit, public living or study area of the household (never private bedrooms).

All personal data concerning students and parents is handled in strict compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We never sell, rent, or trade student data with third parties. Data is utilized strictly to provide safe, personalized STEM education.

This Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy is reviewed annually by corporate governance and updated to comply with current child protection legislation.
